Years of professional experience, expertise and deep insights into information technology and data privacy law have won Tomáš Nielsen the accolade of “Lawyer of the Year” in the “Information Technology Law” category granted by the Czech Bar Association and the electronic online daily and publishing house EPRAVO.CZ.
Tomáš Nielsen received the accolade from Vladimír Plášil, Member of Jury and President of the Chamber of Judicial Officers, at a ceremony on 1 February 2019. In its justification, the jury stated: “Tomáš Nielsen is a highly knowledgeable expert with deep expertise in data privacy, IT, internet and telecommunication law and a co-author of the repeatedly published annotation to the Electronic Communication Act with experience in providing legal assistance and support to a number of key IT business projects implemented in the Czech Republic. The accolade goes to Tomáš also for being a regular guest lecturer at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague and several other educational facilities including the internet entrepreneur iCollege.”
In his acceptance speech, Tomáš said: “I would not have been standing here had it not been for my great team of colleagues and friends” and greeted the ceremony attendees in style with the Danish “Skål!”
